So, You want to BE a push-up PRO
(or whatever it's called when you're that person who can do a whole bunch of push-ups without ending up flat on your face, willing your body to just levitate off the floor already.)
It seems like it should be no big deal, right?!
But.... it hasn't quite happened for you yet.
I'm going to let you in on a bit of a secret:
Push-ups may be a very well-known, often prescribed exercise but they actually SUPER challenging and not as simple as they seem.

They require a great deal of strength from your core and full body.
​
Your form can also either be your friend - helping you out -
or reallyyy be working against you
(trust me, for so many folks, their form is making this so much harder than this has to be.)
​
And the most common modification (eg. dropping down to your knees) is not always the best choice for a future push-up champ, who dreams of doing push-ups from their toes.

I've been in the fitness industry for over 10 years but it wasn't until I had my first baby that I saw it: there were massive gaps in the women's health, fitness, and athleticism space.

Women are commonly experiencing symptoms such as prolapse, diastasis recti, and navigating major life events like pregnancy and postpartum with little to no support.
​
Typical fitness programs, gyms, and coaches frequently do not consider the needs, struggles, or real lives of women (especially busy moms and parents.)
​
The "look" that fitness and some women's health spaces have tends to be oppressive and excludes BIPOC, LGBTQ+ , people living in larger bodies, and other folks in marginalized bodies.
This is exactly what motivated me to build a welcoming, educational,
anti-oppressive space - both in-person and virtually - to better support the women and folks that I get the opportunity to work with.
