Our society is obsessed with giving us rules about eating.

Women who are struggling to find balance in their relationship with food tend to cling desperately on to these rules even harder.

 

They start to pick apart what they’ve been eating, how much of it, and internally raging at themselves that they need to get a grip and gain some self-control.

We’re here to tell you that society has got it all wrong.

Diet culture would love for you to think that your food struggles are your fault.

 

That you lack discipline.

 

That you just need to restrict or measure or start again on Monday.

 

But we all know that this constant stress and suppression around food is not exactly cutting it.

 

And pssst, diet culture THRIVES off of that.

 

They want you to keep up with the latest product or fad because, well, quite frankly it’s profitable for women to keep feeling badly about themselves.

 

(And no, it’s not just you! The stats don’t lie. Diets don’t work - whatever the goal - for the overwhelming majority of folks.)

So what's a person to do?!

 

Well, we'll tell you what science and countless clients (and our own personal experience for that matter) has to say:

The Real Secret to making peace with food and getting off the restricting/over-doing it/chaos train...is doing less

No, seriously.

What is FOOD FIGHT?
We will start with the foundational mindset bits, just like we do for our clients. This part is seriously lacking from most conversations around nutrition and we cannot stress how important it is.

Then we'll move into a bit of light education / lightbulb moments on how your body works (why fight science when you can harness it, areweright?)
*Don't worry, there is no mighty mitochondria talk or any boring science-y words - just the goods.

We're
Anna and Tara.

We’re two friends who are both fitness and nutrition coaches.

​

We saw how many women were seriously struggling with nutrition and wanting very badly to have less stress in their relationship with food.

 

We also saw how many learned beliefs and programs were setting them up to fail and making everything so much more complicated then it needed to be. It was deeply frustrating to see the harmful ways that typical nutrition programs upheld oppressive values. We knew we could do so much better for folks.

We want you to feel empowered to make nutrition choices that support your life and your whole self - physical, mental, and emotional.

Nutrition is a topic that has been frequently brought up to me by the clients I work with. There is so much overwhelm and anxiety surrounding food and it effects so many factors in my clients lives: their mood, training, lives at home, relationship and comfort with their bodies, energy levels...I could go on.
